2026/27 Season · Now open for registration

From your first kick to your first team.

Sunday-morning football for girls in Years 1, 2 and 3 at Colfe's Leisure Centre, SE12. No trials, no experience, no team needed — we'll put her straight into one.

Why SLGFL

We built the ladder where none existed.

Every girl gets a team, every girl gets the ball, and every girl gets somewhere to go next. The league runs Sunday mornings on the 2G all-weather pitch at Colfe's, with our game managers refereeing every fixture — so she doesn't need a club, a coach or any experience to play real football.

Access

No trials, no experience, no team needed. Join solo, with friends, or as a full team — every door leads to a place.

Belonging

Every girl pulls on a shirt and finds her people from week one. Her shirt, her squad, her Sunday.

Progression

U7 is rung one, U8 is the next. The SLGFL ladder climbs with her, season after season.

Community

Sunday mornings built together by parents, coaches, clubs and local sponsors.

The 2026/27 Leagues

Two leagues. One ladder.

Both leagues run Sundays at 11am, 13 September 2026 – 28 March 2027, with three festival days to finish the year in April, May and June.

Questions parents ask

Everything you need before Sunday.

Does she need experience — or a team?

No and no. Most of our girls had never played before their first Sunday. Join solo, with friends, or as a full team — we place every girl straight into a side and our game managers referee every fixture, so you don't need a coach either.

What happens at a free taster session?

She joins a friendly Sunday session — small-sided games, lots of touches, zero pressure — so she can feel what the league is like before you register. Fill in the form above and we'll reply with the next available date. No card details, no obligation.

When and where does the league run?

Sundays at 11am on the 2G all-weather pitch at Colfe's Leisure Centre, SE12 8AW. The 2026/27 season runs 13 September 2026 – 28 March 2027 (20 game weeks, with breaks for half terms and school holidays), plus three festival days in April, May and June.

What does the season cost?

£150 per player if you register before 13 September — reduced from £200. And if she's new to the league, it's £150 for the whole season whenever you sign up. You can also reserve her place with a £50 deposit. The fee covers all 20 game weeks and the three festival days. If cost is a barrier, ask us about our bursary programme — it's there to be used.

What should she wear?

Trainers or astros, comfortable clothes and a water bottle are all she needs for a taster. Shin pads are great once she's playing weekly, but nobody needs boots and a full kit on day one.

Which league is right for her?

It goes by her school year from September 2026: Years 1 and 2 play in the Forest Bikes Under 7 League (3v3, no goalkeepers); Year 3 plays in the Under 8 5v5 League (fixed teams, goalkeepers, weekly fixtures). Not sure? Book a taster and we'll help you decide.
